The evening started with the Maldivian open-air restaurant “Sunset Grill”, built on stilts 50 m out to sea over a coral reef. Freshly grilled seafood is prepared in the open-kitchen booth amid restaurant, serving a la carte such as Scallop Salad, Crabmeat and Avocado Salad, Grilled Beef Tenderlion and half Lobster Tail – the meats are fine, juicy, and tender. The excellent menu is complemented by boutique wine list… After wonderful courses, I had anoption between a dessert and cheese. As a matter of fact, I could have chosen both but there was a little room left in my stomach. An unregretful decision was made to a delicious home to 101 of the world’s best cheeses selected by the resort’s Maitre de Fromage, Mr. Laurent Schenk at the “Wine Bar” Hmm….it was the greatest selection of cheeses I’ve ever had in my entire life. Throughout the night, every moment it was an absolute treasure – a tranquil mood from the darkness, a cool sea breeze, a touch of reality, and a good company I had is certainly what I should describe “World Travel Joy”.
