In the present work, we develop a quantitative analysis
methodology through the detection of an electro-active species
obtained via ECE mechanisms. Dopamine determination
is given as an example because it is a derivative of
catechol and an important, widely-researched neurotransmitter
[10,11]. We will demonstrate that DA was pre-oxidized,
followed by addition attack of electro-inactive
sodium 4-aminobenzenesulfonate (ABSA) and formed an
addition product in an oxidized state. The reduction current
of the oxidized adduct will be used to monitor DA. The
objective of this work is to develop a simple-to-operate, fast
