PRTR-ES is part of PRTR, which was established in 1990 and is an independent Thai/British joint venture company that based its operational and sales structure on its successful British partner. PRTR was originally established as a company providing permanent recruitment services and has expanded to become a complete supplier of HR and Business Process Outsourcing services. We currently have 3 offices in Bangkok and 1 office in the Eastern Seaboard with a total of 173 staff based in these offices and a further 36 staff supporting our client partners at their locations. PLANT FINANCE MANAGER – NEW PLANT SET UP 17 Sep 14
Job Descriptions and Responsibilities
Coordinating the comprehensive planning processes (long range plan, forecasts, operating plan) for the manufacturing plant in partnership with the Asia Pacific Manufacturing Leadership team and Country Finance teams.
Acting as a key business partner to Thailand Manufacturing leadership by providing financial expertise and solutions to achieve business objectives.
Establishing robust finance operations in relation to plant & general accounting.
Coordinating monthly & annual financial reporting in USGAAP.
Ensuring the accuracy of the recording of daily financial transactions.
Conducting analysis of financials and reviewing with department heads.
Scrutinising the accounts on a regular basis to ensure all outstanding items are cleared.
Supporting manufacturing in relation to budgeting and costing.
Partnering with Manufacturing to meet budgeted product cost through cost analysis.
Ensuring the smooth execution of financial and process audits.
Ensuring financial discipline during review processes of financial transactions and balance sheets.
Ensuring statutory compliance in relation to VAT, customs and other related statutory compliances for the plant.
Analysing and presenting the CAPEX request generated from the plant.
Being part of the Plant Leadership team, advising the Plant Manager and other plant leaders on key management decisions in line with the financial and organisational targets.
Supporting and collaborating with plant teams to identify and execute value improvement plans.
Identifying gaps in key processes and implementing policies and processes to enhance controls and execute EMS in plant finance.
Liaising with Country and Regional teams.
Developing and engaging members of the Plant Finance Team and other functions as part of the leadership responsibility.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a finance or accounting related field.
At least 5-7 years' experience in the finance and accounting management field within a manufacturing environment.
Expertise in costing, US GAAP and BOI are essential.
Experience in new plant set up is highly preferable.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Computer literacy and experience in ERP (Oracle).
