Out of the 200 tapping days, yield figures are above 51.1 g/tree/tap for 96 days. The preceding weather conditions associated with these particular yield events were separatd and analysed to identify any specific pattern followed during the previous 30-day period, in the event of above average production (Table 5). In about 65% of the occasions, the Tx was between 29 and 30°C and all the occasions Tn was between 22 and 23°C.
Further, the Va reached between 7 mb and 13 mb and Vf was found to be less than 2 mb. The above average yields were associated with a mean monthly rainfall of 346 mm, maximum temperature of 30.2°C, minimum temperature of 22.9°C, sunshine duration of 5.6 h and pan evaporation of 3.2 mm/day. More or less, these conditions are similar up to 120 days climatic conditions associated with the above average yields, with less varibility.
