Dear AYA YES and FLEX Students,
As a government sponsored student you are required to participate in a Mid-Year Orientation. AYA is pleased to offer you the opportunity to attend a group orientation at YMCA Camp Campbell in Boulder Creek, CA from January 13th – 16th! In order to prepare you for the orientation I wanted to provide you with information on what to expect. The purpose of the Mid-Year Orientation is to provide you with an opportunity to reflect on your experience on the program mid-way through the year and critically think about the goals you would like to achieve during the second semester. Our priority is to give you the ability to learn, share with one another and provide you with support.
We are delighted that we are also able to give you an opportunity to enjoy camp activities such as hiking, archery and a ropes course, however please keep in mind that the weekend’s focus will be on the workshops. A detailed itinerary will be sent to you in advance so you have a chance to review the schedule and see what you can expect to do over the weekend. You will participate in workshops and team-building exercises throughout the weekend. Please note that there will be no cost to you, AYA is arranging your accommodations, flight and transportation to and from the airport.
More information regarding your travel, agenda and what to expect at the Mid-Year Orientation will be sent to you closer to the time of the Mid-Year Orientation.
