The scope of the SMS is established by the THAI President (DD) of THAI and endorsed by the Vice President – Aviation Safety, Security & Standards (DJ). This document applies to the employees of THAI and their Business Partners.
The TSMM is intended as the guiding principle for the Operating Departments of the THAI to implement an appropriate SMS, if there is a discrepancy between this document and the applicable regulations, standards, or exemption, the regulation, standard, or exemption will take precedence. However, in the absence of the regulation, standard, or exemption, this document will be the guiding principle.
The TIMM is limited to management personnel tasked with the management of corporate safety.
The TIMM covers all aspects of THAI safety management in operations including, but not limited to the activities of:
• President (DD);
• Aviation Safety, Security and Standards Department (DJ);
• Operations Department (DO);
• Technical Department (DT);
• Ground Customer Services Department (DK);
• Ground Support Equipment Services Department (D2);
• Cargo and Mail Commercial Department (FZ);
• Catering Department (DC);
• All operations activities.
Furthermore, all processes, products, and services supplied by any THAI department or by any external vendor shall be monitored by permanent THAI personnel to ensure the safety of THAI operations. In this respect, all products and services with a direct or indirect effect on the safety and compliance of THAI operations are also included within the scope of this manual.
