Whether Lf
can maintain its stability during the industrial production and storage
process is of special concern. The Ministry of Public Health of
China has set the reasonable level for Lf in infant formula to be in
the range of 0.30–1 mg/g [10]. In countries such as Korea, Japan,
Pakistan and the United States, the average level of Lf is usually set
at ca. 0.50 mg/g. In order to perform quality control on domestic
and imported Lf-fortified infant formulas, it is necessary to establish
reliable analytical methods for the determination of Lf.
