RBOs operating on control area of larger units and units with more control objects evaluated the quality of official controls in their restaurants as lower (t-test, p = 0.004 and p = 0.029, respectively), gave lower school grades for inspectors (ManneWhitney U-test, p = 0.002 and p = 0.024, respectively) and evaluated the significance of official food controls in their restaurants as lower (ManneWhitney U-test, p = 0.004 and p = 0.002,respectively) than did the RBOs in smaller units.
