Introduction
This report was requested by Mr K.K. Chan, Chairperson of the Health and Safety Committee on 18 April 2016 for discussion in the upcoming Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, 5 May 2016. The report concerns staff dissatisfaction with sick pay regulations, which were revised two months ago. The aim of the report is to suggest affordable improvements in these regulations that would satisfy both staff and management.
The report contains the method and findings of a questionnaire survey of staff and results of discussions with management. Then various options are presented and discussed. After that a conclusion is drawn and recommendations are made.
