However, the peak intensity of the crystalline phase increased again at 11451C due to the polymorphic conversion of wollastonite to pseudowollastonite that occurs approximately 11271C[21,22].]. The wollastonite formation approximately 9251C and the polymorphic transformation approximately 11251C were reported in recent studies [7–9,23–26]. However, the early formation of pseudowollastonite at 850 1C is an interesting observation. According to the literature, the crystallization of wollastonite is affected strongly by the presence of impurities that act as mineralizing agents [9,24,25]. In this study, the reduction in particle size most likely enhanced the ability of certain glass constituents to enhance the formation of pseudowollastonite.
