Perfect for: Grooms that are not the formal type and want to have a more relaxed look at their wedding. Or perhaps the wedding theme is more relaxed and casual, and a dark or formal suit would not go with the theme. Casual wedding suit colours are usually light pastels such as sand, off-white, tan, light blue, or bright blue so as to compliment the outdoor setting.
Depending on the heat, some may opt for just a waistcoat and trouser combination, whereas others will go for the three-piece suit but wear the jacket without a waistcoat only for photos and then switch to the waistcoat without the jacket afterwards. The Casual wedding suit may also be re-used later, usually as separates – for example wearing the linen jacket on top of a pair of jeans when heading out to catch up with friends.
Materials: Typically, casual wedding suits are usually made with either cotton, linen or with a lightweight wool fabric. These fabrics are best for breathability. You definitely will want to avoid any suits that are completely synthetic or wool blended with synthetic material, as they don’t breathe very well and can get quite hot.
