President Thein Sein met with top brass from China on Tuesday and pledged to advance ties with Beijing.The pledge came during Thein Sein's meeting with the vice chairman of China's Military Commission,Fan Changlong,in Nay Pyi Taw.Thein Sein said Fan's choice of Myanmar as his first foreign trip after taking up the post showed the friendly ties between the two armed forces.Myanmar-China "paukphaw"(fraternal) friendship was long-standing and deep in the hearts of the people,he said,adding that enhancement of Myanmar-China cooperation was not only in the fundamental interests of the two peopled but also contributed to development and stability in the region.
