A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We can confirm that the body of a 36-year-old man was found on a campsite at T in the Park this afternoon, the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
"As is standard procedure in all such cases, a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. Next of kin has been notified."
They are also investigating a video which shows one camper striking another with a bottle at one of the festival's campsite.
Officers have asked for anyone with information about either incident to come forward.
Tens of thousands of revellers have enjoyed performances from big name acts including Jessie J, Labrinth and The LaFontaines on the second day of the festival.
Organisers DF Concerts struck a deal to move the 2015 festival following health and safety concerns about an underground oil pipeline at nearby Balado, where it had been held for 18 years.
