A recent survey was done in Brazil with 5,160 students from the ages of 14 to 18 to find out who they most valued in society : 97.4 percent of the students said that they believed in their family and friends, and 98 percent said that teachers played a major role in the community. When asked about politicians, 96.1 percent of the student said that they didn’t trust politicians at all.
Politicians are representatives of the people. Their job is to make and execute laws that will help people and make their country prosper economically. However, after they get elected, they don’t always fulfill what they promise.
