What does that mean?
With today’s pricing, you purchase Search Ads on a CPM, or cost per thousand impressions, basis. This means you pay when your ad is displayed in the Search Ads “Sponsored” section at the top of search results. With the new pricing structure, you’ll only be charged for a Search Ad when a potential buyer clicks on it, not each time the ad is displayed. CPC pricing means you’ll only be paying for Search Ads when we’re able to successfully drive traffic to your shop.
To reflect the change to CPC, we’ll be updating the Search Ads console and the Search Ads section of Shop Stats to include the cost per click and total number of clicks on both a keyword and item basis.
