Among the Gram-negative bacteria, H. pylori was particularly susceptible to WRPE-EtOH and WRPE-BuOH, exhibiting MICs of
0.1 mg/mL and 0.01 mg/mL, respectively.BuOH were also effective for the growth inhibition of S. dysenteriae,
with MICs of 1 mg/mL and 0.12 mg/mL, respectively. In comparison,
S. typhi, Y. enterocolitica, P. aeruginosa, and E. coli O157:H7
were killed at relatively high concentrations of WRPE-EtOH
(MIC ¼ 1.5e2.0 mg/mL) and WRPE-BuOH (MIC ¼ 0.25e1.5 mg/mL).
