The technology acceptance model (TAM) is a
behavioral model based on Ajzen and Fishbein’s(1980)theory
of reasoned action(TRA).Davis(1989) developed TAM to
explain and predict user acceptance of information systems.
Davis’ model was aimed at determining what causes people to
accept or reject information technology. The two main
constructs upon which the model is built are perceived
usefulness and perceived ease of use.
Perceived Usefulness(PU) is “the degree to which a person
believes that using a particular system would enhance his or
her job performance” whereas Perceived Ease of Use(PEoU)
is “the degree to which a person believes that using a
particular system would be free of effort.
