Twenty-five women with CTS were screened for eligibility criteria. Seven (28%) did not meet the eligibility criteria: previous surgery (n = 3), previous steroid injections (n = 2), fibromyalgia (n = 1), and whiplash syndrome (n = 1). Finally, 18 women with CTS aged 31 to 59 years (mean ± SD, 44 ± 10 years) satisfied all the eligibility criteria and agreed to participate. Ten (55%) of the women were employed in secretarial services, and the remaining 8 (45%) worked in cleaning services. Eleven patients (60%) had minimal CTS, and the remaining 7 (40%) presented with moderate CTS. Six patients (33%) had unilateral symptoms (4 right, 2 left side), whereas 12 (67%) exhibited bilateral symptoms.
