Hi, I was hoping to get some guidelines how to install win10 x64bit. I am a validation tech trying to setup win10 OS x64bit.
So far, I tried 2 methods below
Burn into DVD and install from DVD or
Setup 2 partitions. One with Win8.1 and the other empty. Go into Win8.1 and mount the iso as a hard drive. From the mounted drive, launch sourcessetup.exe and make it install to the empty partition.
On DVD method, the recovery screen error persists (see screen shot below). Tried 3 build versions – tech preview, v9883 and v9888
On the 2 partition method approach, here are the steps I took. Also tried on same build versions— tech preview, v9883 and v9888
On 120 GB SSD, created 2 partitions – 40 GB for win8.1 and 80 +/- GB (formatted partition)
Copied the iso file to win8.1 partition (drive C)
Mounted the ISO file then execute the setup.exe from sources dir (sourcessetup.exe) and directed the installation to the 80 GB partition
Sad to say, the result is not positive as I hit the same error code along with this message--
" A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source..."

Thank you, Sachin.
I eventually found the solution. It turned out the BIOS date was not configured with current date. System had a BIOS date set to 2015.
I am now able to install the EEAP version with no issue.

Hi,
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
What is the make and model of your computer?
It's unfortunate that you was unable to install Windows 10, but don't worry we will try to validate the details and help you out.
Firstly the build versions 9883 and 9888 doesn't exist. The official builds launched by Microsoft are 9841. 9860 and 9879. Build 9879 being the latest one.
The link below will provide the system requirements for Windows 10.
Before you install Windows Technical Preview
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-faq#faq=tab0
I suggest you to check the below links to download and create a bootable USB or disk.
Download Windows Technical Preview November Update

Thank you for the response and the information. I will follow the suggested steps.
On the question...
What is the make and model of your computer?
I am using an engineering build motherboard. We are trying to validate this mobo with win10 OS.
Related to this, I have a quick follow up question. Is there anyway I can install win10 with digital signature check disabled? If yes, how can I do it?

How do you do this from the Bios though. I can't install anything, the Surface is just a brick right now. I have a Surface Pro 3. Had the techpreview, and this error came up a week ago. I am out of options.
