Introductio n
Nanostructur ed ZnO materials have received broad attention due to their distingui shed performanc e in electronics, optics and photonics. ZnO is an n-type semiconduc tor with wurtzite structure has many useful propertie s, such as a large band gap (3.3 eV) and a high exciton binding energy (60 meV) which gives an efficient exciton emission at room temperat ure [1]. Many magneto-optic devices could be made from ZnO-base d diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMS) and spin electroni cs (Spintronics) is a practical technology based on such functional materials [2,3].
