However, a drawback of the CLB is that it is difficult to predict the configuration of the grounding part, making it difficult to estimate the amount of resources scooped by the buckets. This problem can be eliminated by regulating the configuration of the grounding part and consequently optimizing the traveling paths of the buckets on the sea floor. Therefore, we need to elucidate the mechanics of the cable used in the CLB system; previous studies have addressed little about it.
