In general, it is quite obvious that the articles operate with education for and through social entrepreneurship rather than
about it, which indicates that this educational field has taken a direct step towards action and experience oriented teaching
compared to the results from the study by Pittaway & Edwards on entrepreneurship education. This educational focus
supports the understanding of social entrepreneurship education as activity either aimed at starting social ventures or new
social initiatives. The tendency towards the ‘for’ and ‘through’ forms of social entrepreneurship is supported by a study in the
sample documenting that seventy five percent of the courses included focus on experience based learning in cooperation
with external partners
