The First Pizzeria
Pizza makers opened the world's first pizza restaurant in 1830, in Naples, Italy. The pizza makers used hot lava from a volcano to cook the pizza!
Pizza for the World
In the late 1800s, many Italians moved to the United States. They opened a lot of pizzerias and pizza became very popular. Today, the rest of the world loves pizza, too. People around the world eat about five billion pizzas every year!
