Getting Approval In Beauty, Health & Personal Care and Groceries **Updated 11/20
Next, we have the categories of Beauty, Health & Personal Care and Grocery. These are some of our favorite categories here at The Selling Family and we recommend that all new sellers eventually try to get approved in them as well. Unlike the categories we talked about above, in order to get ungated in these categories, you have to provide Amazon with receipts / invoices in order to gain approval in them. Here are some of the tips we have for getting your receipts approved by Amazon.
Submit 3 Receipts for each category you are requesting approval in (minimum of 12 quantity per item)
Write or use PicMonkey.com to add your Name / Business name to your receipt if it is not on there
Use PicMonkey to blur out the prices you paid for the products
Buy from reputable companies like Target, Walmart, Walgreens, etc
Add the ASIN to the receipt and make sure it is from the category you are applying for
Amazon requires that you provide them 3 receipts from legit sources that show you are buying quality products to sell on Amazon. Places like Target work great for your receipts and you can find items in all of the categories from there. Make sure that you buy quantities of at least 12 or more of each item you buy. They want to know that you are not purchasing for personal use. It is ok if each receipt has one item on it, as long as it has multiples. If you make 3 transactions, each with 12 of 3 different items you should be good to go. 36 items would be purchased total for each category. You will need to have a digital copy of the receipt to attach to your application. You can scan it into your computer with a scanner, or you can take a picture of the receipt and email it to yourself. You don’t have to worry about the items actually being profitable for the approval process. You just want to make sure that they are listed on Amazon. If you find products that cost between $1-$2 each, you can have enough products to get approval for $36-$72.
