shows that the liquid product
distribution obtained was practically the same as that obtained
in the blank experiment with SiC. There are minor differences in
C8–C15 and C19-yields but these are within the experimental error
of the experiment (±4%). The fact that both SiC and Al2O3 have
presented an almost identical liquid product distribution means
that the alumina was inert for the sunflower conversion under the
employed conditions and as in the case of SiC, the observed transformations
were purely thermal. The same behavior was observed
for a blank test performed with Al2O3 at a lower temperature, i.e.,
553 K.
