3.2. Effect of C. lentillifera extract on IL-1β and IFN-γ
induced cell viability in RIN cells The combination of IL-1β and IFN-γ caused pancreatic β-cell death, which is correlated with decreased insulin secretion in RIN cells. C. lentillifera extract did not affect cell cytotoxicity at concentration of 25 µg/mL (Figure 2A). As shown in Figure 2B, IL-1β and IFN-γ decreased cell viability to 44.8%. However, the addition of C. lentillifera extract (10 and 25 µg/mL) increased cell viability by up to 61.3% and 65.9%, respectively.
