The total phenoliccontent was quantified by calibration curve obtained by measuringthe absorbance of the known concentrations of gallic acid standardsolutions [10e100 mg/ml in methanol]. The results were calculatedand expressed in mg of gallic acid equivalent (GAE) per gram ofextract. The total flavonoid content was measured by thealuminium chloride colorimetric method and expressed as mg
