3. Economy and Availability -– Recently, oil has become a bigger economic problem than anything else as most of the world is becoming increasingly dependent on oil imports from foreign countries, mainly located in the Middle East. As these nations now hold most of the world’s oil supply, the price per gallon is continuing to increase at an alarming rate. The advantage of biofuels is that they are not limited to any part of the world, all nations of the world are fairly rich in biofuel and the potential is there for nations to supply their own power needs by themselves in the future. For the timing however, relying on biomass as a source of energy relaxes the pressure on the country’s economy by reducing its foreign oil import expenses.
