create a good first impression by entering the interview room confidently with your body upright, shoulders relaxed. make direct eye contact, and greet the interviewer or panel with a firm handshake. take time to organize your thoughts and your papers and seat yourself comfortably. make sure that you can sit comfortably without fidgeting but are still able to use your hands for emphasis. if you need to change the position of your seat, state politely why you re doing so. for example, if you cannot see all the members of the interview panle, say "i'm sure you won't mind if i move the chair so that i can see everybody". As the in tervieewe, you are also assessing the company or organization, so behave politely but assertively.
