Pollution by inorganic waste
The natural process of weathering releases toxic inorganic Chemicals from rocks. The natural cycle has been augmented thousands of times by our reliance and the home. Although these materials provide many benefits, their improper usage and disposal are an international health concern.
Here are some sources of water pollution
Improperly treated industrial discharges or accidents in transportation (such as oil spills)
Runoffs from hard-surfaced roads and parking lots and urban areas containing lead, oil, cadmium (from tyres) and other pollutants;
Runoffs from agricultural areas containing pesticides used to improve crop quality and increase yields;
illegal dumping of toxic chemicals produced by industrial processes; and
household chemicals such as cleaners, dyes, paints, pesticides and solvents.
