3. Results
3.1. Basic characteristics of participants
From June 2008 to December 2009, 3479 frontline workers in 60
factories were included in the survey. Female workers accounted
for 43.3% (1508/3479). The mean age of participants was 28.7
±
7.2
years old. The proportion of participants with educational level at
primary school, middle school, high school and university or above
was 4.3%, 53.5%, 36.3% and 5.9%, respectively. 64.0% (2201/3439)
workers had previous work experience in other factories and
6.6% workers had injury experience before the current work (see
Table 1).
