In the traditional Korean society, marriages were usually arranged by parents. There were also matchmakers that made marriages happen. In some cases, the bride and the groom walked down the aisle without knowing their partner’s name or face. This tendency has decreased in the modern society, but is still an important part of marriage culture in Korea. The method, however, has changed a bit from before.
