Pronounced interest has been focused on the crystal engineering of supramolecular architectures organized by coordinated covalent, or supramolecular contacts
(such as hydrogen-bonding,……interaction ect.)[1-5].A particularly promising class of ligands is represented by molecules containing two 4-pyridyl donor units interconnected by chains or groups of different types such as 4,4’-bipyridine (4,4’-bpy)and 4,4’-azobispyridine(4,4’-bpy).A number of extended structures with diverse topologies have been synthesized [6-10]. However, most of the above-mentioned frameworks, either are generated directly by coordination bonds, or one-dimensional coordination chains are generated first, and are further extended into higher dimensional networks by hydrogen-bonding interaction [11-13], only a few are formed by self-assembly of organic molecules and hydrated metal-ion building blocks [14-16].
