An extended technology acceptance model was developed and used to assess the
impact of individual and organizational support factors on the intention to use IT. This
non-experimental quantitative correlational study was based on sample data collected
from 428 respondents using an electronic survey distributed to 1,607 public-sector
workers in Jamaica’s Revenue Service. This study provided empirical support for seven
of the nine hypotheses tested. Structural equation modeling was used to determine the
impact of computer self-efficacy, infrastructure support, and technical support, on
intention to use IT, mediated through perceived ease of use of IT or perceived usefulness
of IT
