How are you doing? Relational
What are you celebrating? Or What are you winning? Give them a chance to say what is going well so you can affirm them.
What are your challenges? Adult style learning approach. The person you coach is setting the agenda, coming with learning readiness.
What are you going to do about it? Most important question. Don’t fix it for them. You’re preparing them for the next level of leadership. Like parenting. Stay here for a long time, keep pushing.
