Following nearly a year of public comment and stakeholder participation, the federal energy regulatory commission (FERC) - The agency responsible for regulation the high voltage electricity grid – issued reforms to the interconnection rules for wholesale DG system up to 20 Megawatts in size and subject to FERC jurisdiction. The Reforms target certain provision of the “Standardization of small Generator interconnection agreements and procedures” or “Order No. 2006,” which was established in 2005.
