Danang port in central Vietnam handled 128,700 TEUs in the first seven months of this year, up 44 percent from a year earlier.
The volume of cargo came through the facility increased 42 percent year-on-year to 23,000 TEUs in July, the highest ever so far, reported Vietnam News Brief Service.
At present, 16 container ships on average dock at Danang port per week, up 23 percent year-on-year. In 2014, Danang port operator targets to handle 220,000 TEUs to become one of the top container ports in Vietnam.
