Challenge Ahead
So far Dr Prasert has remained in the full control of the company and led it. Now, the
company
has grown in size with expanded operations and the competition has intensified. The company
perhaps needs a professional approach and more decentralized decision-making structure to
sustain its growth in the changed environment. Dr Prasert needs to have a critical look at its
current centralized management style and the capital budgeting processes. He needs to evolve
a capital budgeting system and develop decision criteria which are linked to the company’s strategy and contribute to its growth and profitability.
