4.1. Elicitation
Process modelling is a consultative process of identification,
modelling, and verification. Process knowledge is typically gathered
from staff and stakeholders through interview, workshop,
or observation (often combined). As a consequence, modelling
demands a broad skill set of the modeller, from investigative
and analytical skills, to facilitation, communication, and people
skills. Fundamental to effective elicitation is to recognise that it
is an incremental and iterative process, which benefits from a
