Ku-band operates in the 11-14 GHz range and is generally
used for fixed services such as Very Small Aperture
Terminal (VSAT), a network, serving corporate networks
and small businesses, that uses a small transceiver directly
linked to a satellite in a Star topology. Ku-band serves
Internet trunking and video distribution applications.
Ka-band operates in the 18-30 GHz range largely for
broadband applications.
