Firmness, color, and total soluble solids (TSS)
During growth pulp firmness of cv. Chanee increased earlier
than that in cv. Monthong (Fig. 3). Maximum firmness was the
same in both cultivars, but was reached earlier in cv. Chanee
(Fig. 3). Pulp firmness of both cultivars decreased much between
harvest maturity and ripe fruit stages (Fig. 3), with no significant
differences between the cultivars.
