71 respondents (63.4%) were secondary school leavers. Most of the
staff surveyed served as helpers (27.6%) while 18.4% of the respondents
worked as chef, cookers and food servers. Around 65.5%
have been in this sector for 1e5 years, 14 workers had experience
ranging from 11 to 20 years while only 3 people (3.4%) have worked
for over 20 years. It was found that most of respondents attended
training related to food safety and just 5.7% had no previous
training. About 97.7% of the respondents had their health cards.
Majority of the food handler's (55.2%) could read a little, 8% could
read properly and 36.8% could not read anything indicating that
most of the workers were not well educated.
