Three men arrested on suspicion of robbery and damgage to more than 30 cars have bail extended
They were arrested in the south Somerset town of Yeovil on suspicion of robbery and more than 30 counts of criminal damage.
As well as the damage to vehicles the three men apparently approached a member of the public who was walking home and robbed him.
Luckily the victim escaped the gang unharmed.
When the police detained the first suspect they found he had a bladed article on him and he was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
He was then arrested again for criminal damage when officers were made aware of reports of three men damaging cars.
Roping Road and The Avenue were two of the streets worst hit by the spree of vandalism.
The three men arrested for the shocking crime are still in custody at Yeovil police station.
When they were searched officers discovered stolen property believed to be from a previous burglary.
