Comparing a 32-bit multiplier MISC processor with a 32-bit original soft-core RISC processor, the clock frequency of the 32-bit multiplier MISC processor is 10.1 times faster than that of the soft-core RISC processor .Moreover, since the implementation area of the 32-bit multiplier MISC processor is 495 ALMs,if the same number of ALMs as 1,587 ALMs of the soft-core RISC processor ate used, then 3 MISC processors can be implemented onto the area.On them, three instructions can be executed in parallel, thereby achieving three-times-better performance.Consequently, the overall performance can be estimated as 32.4 times better than that of the soft-core RISC processor.TAble 1 shows that the MISC performance is 2-881 times better than that of a conventional soft-core RISC processor taking a static implementation.
