Why has Denmark invested in energy from straw? One
main reason is the Danish energy policy which raised the
taxes of fossil energy (oil and coal) after the price fall in
1986. The oil price (incl. energy tax) was at the same level the
first half of 1987 as in the first half of 1986; this contrasts
with most other European countries where the consumer
