As expected for efficiently reinforced during the fracture process fibers suffered
rupture instead of being pulled out. This observation is
indicative of a good adhesion of the fibers to matrix. Materials
with high fiber load presented some small voids in
its matrix structure. The nature of these voids is not clear.
Absence of pulled-out fibers suggests that these voids may
be formed at the conformation of the material [54].
The good adhesion showed in the SEM micrographs,
was transferred to the mechanical properties of the composites
prepared, which were considerably enhanced by
the presence of fibers, as can be seen from the data summarized
in Table 3. In addition, a good adhesion between
