As per my previous email, I would like to remind everyone that I have frozen further recruitment until 2 months before the re-opening of the hotel.
Based on the current schedule, it appears that we will be able to re-open the hotel only in Dec 2014.
I would also like everyone to exercise strict cost controls. We have incurred a great deal of costs to upgrade the hotel. In addition, we are still servicing our OCBC loan. In short, we are bleeding a great deal of cash every month.
SOPs, KPIs, KRAs, internal control measures, revised operating budgets, reports, action plans, etc should be completed and formalised by now. These should be forwarded to me.
Staff training for the pre-opening should be focussed on product knowledge, internal controls and SOPs.
