The sensory qualities of MVD lychees (except burst lychees) were analyzed in terms of its appearance (1–4 points), texture (1–3 points) and flavor (1–3 points). A 20-member panel, all of whom were experienced in the sensory evaluation of snack foods, scored the three parts. Sum score (total of 10 points) of the three characteristics was used to evaluate the product’s sensory characteristic. Dried lychees with at least 8 points were accepted as good products (Yan et al. 2010).
