The Stepwise regression procedure was used to determine
relationships between saturated hydraulic conductivity and one
parameter and two parameter model combinations of CT-measured
pore parameters. The average CT-measured parameter values (average
of five values within each core) were used for the regression analysis.
The following CT-measured pore parameters were used in the
analysis: CT-measured number of pores, number of macropores,
number of coarse mesopores, total porosity (macroporosity plus
coarse mesoporosity), macroporosity, coarse mesoporosity, and fractal
dimension of macroporosity as well as bulk density.
Since Ksat datawere found to be log-normally distributed, relationships between log
Ksat and CT-measured pore parameters are presented.
