A lot of variation was observed among the 17 strains.
100 μl showed the higher inhibition for all groups except for the Lasiodipodia group in which there was no inhibition.
In this group we nevertheless observed a qualitative difference between the control and the treatment where Lasiodiplodia color is normally black because of the spores production whereas after treatment, we had the same growth but the mycelium remained white.
In the Fusarium group, growth inhibition was observed at all concentrations used.
Exposure to Volatiles
There was significant effect of the different oils against the pathogenic strains(Fig. 1).
Overall (for the all strains groups) the commercial oil (from India and cold press) gave the higher inhibition percent.
For the Fusarium group, the three oils gave the same results.
According the groups, the oils obtained by cold press or by the Soxhlet method gave better inhibition of growth.
